ICM Inducer Motor Assembly Kit Cancels: New IIK 355M-35-1 8-15-93 Installation Instructions Part No. 320727-751 NOTE: Read the entire instruction manual before starting the installation. INTRODUCTION This instruction covers installation of the Integrated Control and Motor (ICM) inducer motor kit, Part No. 320727-751 on models 355MAV,and 58MVP Gas-Fired Condensing Furnaces. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS Installation and service of heating equipment can be hazardous due to gas and electrical components.

Only trained personnel should install or service heating equipment. Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance functions such as cleaning coils, or cleaning and replacing filters. All other operations should be performed by trained service personnel. When working on heating equipment, observe precautions in the literature, and on tags and labels attached to the unit. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Have a fire extinguisher available. b. Remove 1 tube attached to pressure switch from burner enclosure and gas valve. 5. Remove screws securing pressure switch assembly to inducer motor mount. 6. Disconnect wire harness connector from inducer motor. 7. Remove inducer motor mounting cover plate from inducer housing by pushing tabs to release. Remove screws adjacent to tabs if used. 8. Disconnect pressure switch assemblu wire connections. Step 2–Installation of New Motor Assembly 1. Inspect seal on backside of new inducer motor mounting covere. NOTE: If seal in inducer motor mounting cover is damaged in any way, it must be repaired. To repair, apply sealant releasing agent (PAM) to inducer housing. Apply a small bead of GE RTV 122, 162, or Dow-Corning RTV 738 sealant to groove in inducer motor mounting cover. 2. Install new inducer motor mounting cover plate by locating tabs in retainer slots and push until engaged. NOTE: Use No.8-18 X 1/2-in. LG type BT screws to secure cover plate to housing, if required. 3. Secure pressure switch inducer motor mount using screws removed in eairlier text. a. Connect 1 tube from burner enclosure and gas valve to pressure switch. b. Connect 1 tube from collector box to pressure switch. 4. Reconnect inducer motor wire harness connector. 5. Reconnect pressure switch assembly wire connector. 6. Reconnect drain tube to inducer housing cover. 7. Remove cap and clamp from unused drain connection on old inducer motor mounting cover plate. 8. Install cap and clamp (removed above) on unused drain connection of new inducer motor mounting cover plate. 9. Turn electrical supply to unit to the ON position. 10. Check furnace operation through two complete cycles. 11. Reinstall furnace access door. Before beginning any installation or modification, be sure the main electrical disconnect switch is in the OFF position. Electrical shock can cause personal injury or death. DESCRIPTION AND USAGE Use this ICM motor kit to restore units having an inducer motor assembly in need of repair.
