Cell Panel Replacement Kit Cancels: IIK 376C-40-13 IIK 373L-35-9 12-15-91 Installation Installations Part No. 310220-751 through 310229-751 NOTE: Read the entire instruction before starting the installation. INTRODUCTION This instruction covers the installation of the cell panel replacement kit in a non-condensing, induced-combustion furnace. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS Installing and servicing heating equipment can be hazardous due to gas and electrical components.

Only trained personnel should install or service heating equipment. Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance functions such as cleaning coils, or cleaning and replacing filters. All other operations should be performed by trained service personnel. When working on heating equipment, observe precautions in the literature, and on tags and labels attached to the unit. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Have a fire extinguisher available. DESCRIPTION AND USAGE The cell panel replacement kit can be utilized to restore a furnace when the cell panel has failed. The cell panel replacement kit contains the following items: Panel assembly Screw Installation Instructions (1) (quantity varies per kit) (1) 10. Remove auxiliary junction box and blower door interlock switch. 11. Remove screws securing cell panel to casing. 12. Upflow only–it may be necessary to remove front two screws of top plate. Downflow only–remove front two screws of bottom plate. 13. Remove cell panel with heat exchanger cells attached, through front of furnace. Step 2–Installation of Cell Panel 1. Place heat exchanger assembly on flat surface with cell panel facing upward. 2. Remove and discard screws from cell inlet and outlet openings of right-hand (RH) cell. Do not reuse screws. 3. Position new cell panel along RH side of old panel. Lay edge of new panel on top of old panel for support. 4. Position cell under RH side of new panel–ensure insulation is positioned around openings for good air seal and cell panel is positioned properly over inlet opening. 5. Using an awl, align holes and start new screws (provided in kit) in each opening. After all screws are started, check position of cell, insulation, and cell panel. When materials are properly aligned, tighten screws. 6. Remove and discard screws from cell inlet and outlet openings of left-hand (LH) cell.
