Door Clip for Upflow/Horizontal 2-Speed Non-Condensing Furnaces Cancels: New IIK 330J-60-2 4-97 Installation Instructions Part No. 324097-701 INTRODUCTION This furnace door clip permits 2-speed, non-condensing furnaces to be used in the horizontal position. The door clip must be used when the furnace is used in the horizontal position to ensure the upper/combustion/louvered door remains in place during operation.
Step 1–Installing Door Clip on Horizontal Furnaces 1. Locate plastic bag containing kit attached to literature assembly. 2. Remove upper top plate screw after furnace is installed in horizontal position. (See Fig. 1 or 2.) 3. Position nylon grommet (large face toward screw head) on screw removed from top plate. 4. Insert screw and grommet in door clip hole as shown in Fig. 1 or 2. 5. Attach door clip and screw to top plate. 6. Instruct owner/user to rotate clip for door removal. Do not operate the furnace in the horizontal position without this door clip in place and position such to retain the door in place. Failure to follow this CAUTION could result in nuisance interruptions of furnace operation due to blower door switch not being closed.
