PSC Inducer Motor Assembly Kit Cancels: New IIK 350M-35-1 8-15-93 Installation Instructions Part No. 320725-751 NOTE: Read the entire instruction manual before starting the installation. INTRODUCTION This instruction covers installation of the permanent split capacitor (PSC) inducer motor kit, Part No. 320725-751 on models 340MAV, 350MAV, 490AAV, 58MCA, and 58MXA Gas-Fired Condensing Furnaces. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS Installation and service of heating equipment can be hazardous due to gas and electrical components.

Only trained personnel should install or service heating equipment. Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance functions such as cleaning coils, or cleaning and replacing filters. All other operations should be performed by trained service personnel. When working on heating equipment, observe precautions in the literature, on tags, and on labels attached to the unit. Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Have a fire extinguisher available. b. Remove 1 tube attached to pressure switch from burner enclosure and gas valve. 5. Remove burner box tube from pressure switch. 6. Remove screw securing pressure switch and capacitor to inducer housing. 7. Disconnect motor lead connector from control center. 8. Remove inducer motor mounting cover plate from inducer housing by pushing tabs to release. Remove screws adjacent to tabs if used. Step 2–Installation of New Motor Assembly 1. Inspect seal on back side of new inducer motor mounting cover plate. NOTE: If seal in inducer motor mounting cover is damaged in any way, it must be repaired. To repair, apply sealant releasing agent (PAM) to inducer housing. Apply a small bead of GE RTV 122, 162, or Dow-Corning RTV 738 sealant to groove in inducer motor mounting cover. 2. Install new inducer motor mounting cover plate by locating tabs in retainer slots and pushing until engaged. Before beginning any installation or modification, be sure the main electrical disconnect switch is in the OFF position.
